At Penn State for my senior project and I had a unique opportunity to co-design a haunted house in one of our theaters. We created “Dead State” an immersive walk-through attraction right on campus based on many of Penn State’s Urban Legends.

Dead State – Penn State is built in the mountains and has “Steam Tunnels” under the roads and sidewalks to keep the surfaces from freezing. Careful or you may never find your way out.

Dead State- Even our deceased President is rumored to roam the streets of campus.

Dead State – This water color concept art was a scene inspired by our on-campus bus shuttle. Sometimes these busses stray from their late night routes.

Dead State – The “Dead Link” is a near-miss jump scare that comes out of the dark when one of those busses strays from their late night route.

Dead State – The Dorm Room, where a group of students find out the negative impacts of playing with a Ouija Board.
